Angie Ardis

Angie Ardis (she/her) is a Senior Policy Advisor collaborating with Masa Group, who has worked for organized labor for nearly two decades, with the last ten specializing in educational reform focusing on issues of concentrated poverty. Her expertise is developing and executing large-scale campaigns, education equity policy, legislation advocacy, coalition facilitation, and training.

While with SEIU and UFCW, Angie worked in external and internal organizing and negotiated the first contracts for low-wage workers in various service industries. During that time, she negotiated a national boilerplate contract for Aramark Laundry Service Workers and headed the efforts in the DMV for the Walmart campaign.

Angie spearheaded education equity strategies in Baltimore City and then statewide in Maryland, working on policy, funding, and legislation. She collaborated with labor, students, parents, school administration, and community advocates to create pressure to address the growing opportunity gap within Maryland.

In her role at the Montgomery County Education Association, she designed and executed the political program that covered candidate outreach, endorsement, campaigns, and lobbying activities.

She has a B.S. in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University.

In her free time, Angie enjoys trips to Michigan’s beautiful lakes with her daughter, Eliza, and baking for family and friends.
