Immigration Comms in Unprecedented Times

This training will equip participants with tools and strategies for navigating the unique challenges of communications advocacy on immigration in our current political context and media landscape. This training is ideal for advocates, nonprofit leaders, communications professionals, or anyone seeking to strategically voice solidarity with immigrants and the immigrant rights movement in this challenging time.  

Led by MountainGem Advocacy and Communications and Masa Group, this session will focus on best practices in strategic communications on immigration, including rapid response, effective messaging, and media relations.

Topics covered will include:

• An overview of the current political and media landscape on immigration

• Preparing and executing rapid response strategies 

• Effective (and ineffective) messaging on immigration

• Best practices for media relations that maximize safety

The training is free but requires registration. The recording and supporting materials will be sent to all registered participants after the training.
